Bought this bed and trundle for my 7 year old daughter three months ago. I had assembled it by myself and did not find it difficult at all - it just takes patience. I was pleasantly surprised by the looks and quality, especially considering the price. The white is a bright white and the feel of the leather is cool but nice. The mattresses are both supported by black metal rods and initially I wasn't so sure about it as I'm used to wooden slats. I've since discovered that it works just fine, especially for kids since they're lightweight and don't put too much stress on the rods. I've actually tried out the trundle bed and found it perfectly fine to sleep on. The only problem I found was that the trundle had a tendency to travel a little on our hardwood floors every time I rolled over in my sleep. There's one locking wheel but apparently it didn't stay locked. Overall, I'm still very pleased with this purchase and so is my daughter.The reason why I'm rating this 4 stars is because of the shipping company (Pilot Freight) that was used to deliver the bed. You have to call or go online to schedule a delivery time. I made my appointment for delivery over a week in advance. On the day of delivery and during the timeframe I had selected, I logged onto Pilot's website just to make sure that everything was still on schedule. I discovered that their delivery team claimed they attempted delivery and that nobody was home to accept the package. Well, I'd been home for most of the day and I was certainly at home during the scheduled delivery time. So I quickly had to make a phone call to the delivery company to make sure I received my order. Long story short, I obviously received the bed but not without being very proactive about the delivery.
